Top GTA private schools admit few students, on a fall cycle: most close applications in December-January, with SSAT and interviews prepared well ahead. A private-school application is a year-long project, not a form.

Most leading schools read the SSAT. Verbal load and math are the usual weak and strong points respectively — prep time follows the diagnostic.
Interviews & family materials
Student interview, parent meeting, references and essays build one impression. A child telling their own story beats a rehearsed perfect answer.
School fit
Boarding or day, single-sex or co-ed, academic intensity and program character — match the child, not just the name.
