Roblox Game Development Level 4-6 90min
If your child loves playing Roblox, why simply limit their screen time when you can help them turn playing games into creating games?
STEMRise’s Roblox Game Development and Coding course is designed for young people ages 7–16. Using Roblox Studio as a creative platform and a structured, project-based approach, the course helps students grow from players into game designers, programmers, and project developers. Students learn by building and playing. Along with essential programming concepts, they create level designs, 3D models, game mechanics, multiplayer features, AI NPCs, and data-driven operations. Ultimately, they develop, launch, and publish a game of their own.
We want students to do more than simply “know how to play Roblox.” We want them to say with confidence:
I designed this. I wrote the code. I built it and published it myself.
What makes STEMRise different① An engaging path into programming
By teaching through Roblox, a platform children already know and enjoy, we turn abstract concepts such as variables, loops, functions, and conditional logic into game features they can see and play. This makes learning more approachable and helps students stay motivated.
② Authentic project-based learning
Students do not simply copy code from the instructor. They experience the complete game-development process, from ideas and design to development, testing, and launch. The first three levels focus on bringing a game to life, while the final three introduce product design, operations, and business thinking.
③ Coding + 3D + product thinking
One course brings together Coding, 3D modeling, UI/UX, AI, data analysis, teamwork, and project management, giving students an experience that closely reflects a real STEM engineering project.
④ A real project at every stage
From a first Obby course to a multiplayer game and, eventually, a complete product that can continue to evolve, students build a growing portfolio of original projects.
Students progressively develop skills in:
- Lua programming: variables, conditional logic, loops, functions, events, and object-oriented thinking
- Roblox Studio: Part, Model, materials, Lighting, physics, and animation
- 3D environments and level design
- UI / UX and Figma product prototypes
- Multiplayer networking: Server / Client, RemoteEvent, and player-state synchronization
- AI NPCs: pathfinding, state machines, and Boss behavior logic
- Game data systems: DataStore, leaderboards, quests, and achievements
- Procedural generation and advanced physics
- Testing, Debug, and performance optimization
- Game publishing, player feedback, and data analysis
- Teamwork, Presentation, and project management
Level 1|Game creation for beginners
Create a first original Roblox Obby while building essential programming skills and a developer’s mindset.
Level 2|Collaborative game development
Learn collaborative development, UI, event-driven programming, and intermediate game mechanics while completing a multiplayer team project.
Level 3|A complete independent project
Explore core gameplay loops, OOP, performance optimization, and player data, then use real feedback to keep improving the game.
Level 4|Product thinking + multiplayer networking + AI NPCs
Begin with product design in Figma, then progress to network architecture, multiplayer systems, and intelligent NPC development.
Level 5|Game economies and procedural content
Learn DataStore, virtual economies, procedural maps, leaderboards, achievements, and GDD game design.
Level 6|Commercial products and operations
Develop student projects into fully launched Roblox products while learning data analysis, A/B testing, product promotion, team management, and Pitch.
Many children spend hours playing games without considering why those games were designed the way they were. Once they begin thinking like developers, they start examining levels, code, game balance, user experience, and Bug.
Games become more than entertainment—they become a gateway to learning and creating.
Building real programming and modeling skillsThrough one project after another, students turn abstract knowledge into real creations and build a foundation for future learning in Python, Java, Web, AI, Computer Science, and engineering courses.
Developing core STEM skillsCreating a game is, at its heart, a small engineering project.
Students continually work through the process of:
Identifying a problem → designing a solution → programming it → Debug → testing → gathering feedback → refining and improving
Along the way, they naturally develop logical and systems thinking, creativity, an engineering mindset, data awareness, and problem-solving skills.
Turning an interest into a lasting advantageSTEMRise wants students to leave with more than “I took a programming course.” We want them to be able to show:
What I created, what problems I solved, and what I can truly bring to life.
From enjoying Roblox to developing with Roblox;
from “I love playing games” to “This is the game I made.”
This is the transformation STEMRise hopes to help every student achieve:
Turning interests into strengths for the future.

What this class is
Roblox Level 4-6 is an advanced coding training class at STEMRise built around the Roblox platform. Each session runs 90 minutes and covers the Level 4, Level 5 and Level 6 stages of the program: product design and multiplayer development, then game economies and procedural content, then publishing and running a live game with real player data. Students build on existing coding and modelling skills to move from making a game to operating a product.
Format
- Length: 90 minutes per session
- Levels covered: Level 4, Level 5 and Level 6
- Category: coding training
Who it suits
Students who have finished the earlier Roblox levels, or who already have coding and 3D modelling experience. Because the class spans Level 4 to Level 6, it suits students ready to move on to multiplayer systems, AI NPCs, virtual economies and product operations.
