Roblox Coding Group Class: Levels 1 & 2
A Roblox coding group class at STEMRise covering Levels 1 and 2, where students learn to build and script their own Roblox games.
What this class is
Roblox Group Level 1 and Level 2 is a group coding class at STEMRise. Students work inside Roblox Studio, the same tool used to make the games they already play, and learn to build environments and script how those environments behave.
Format
This is a group class rather than one-to-one tutoring, so students work alongside peers at a similar stage. Level 1 covers the starting material and Level 2 continues from it, so a student can begin at the level that matches their experience.
What students work on
- Getting comfortable in Roblox Studio and its editing tools
- Building game spaces, objects and layouts
- Scripting game behaviour in Lua, the language Roblox uses
- Testing, fixing and improving a project until it plays the way it was intended
Who it suits
It suits students who already play Roblox and want to move from playing games to making them, and who prefer learning to code through a project they can show someone rather than through exercises alone. Beginners start at Level 1; students with some Roblox Studio experience can continue at Level 2.
What students leave with
Their own playable Roblox project, plus practical scripting habits — reading code, finding the cause of a bug and changing one thing at a time — that carry over to other programming courses.
